Every Thanksgiving, I make this recipe and every Thanksgiving, I am asked for the recipe. I never have any left-overs and this year I think I am going to make a double batch to be sure we have extras for the days we eat left-overs! You MUST try this sweet potato casserole for your holiday dinner this year, I will be the hit of the party!

Ingredients
3 cups cooked mashed sweet potatoes
½ cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup butter (for potatoes)
⅓ melted butter (for topping)
⅓ cup evaporated milk
½ cup flour
2 eggs (beaten)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup whole or chopped pecans
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix together sweet potatoes, white sugar, ½ cup butter, milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Pour in and spread evenly in baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix together ⅓ cup melted butter or margarine, pecans, brown sugar, and flour. Mix well and sprinkle over sweet potato mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes or until topping looks lightly toasted.
