Everyone’s idea of masculinity is different—from people arguing about what children’s toys boys should use to what type of vehicle a man should drive. However, most of us can agree that the idea of masculinity is often taken too far, with people associating totally non-sequitur habits with what makes a man.
Despite what some people may believe, the size of your vehicle does NOT determine your worth as a man. Nor do the bumper stickers or gross things men have hanging from some of those giant trucks.
Many men skip out on going to therapy, avoid talking about their feelings, and even go as far as avoiding emotion to appear more masculine. Many would argue that openly being vulnerable is much better than bottling it up.
Some men feel that not carrying an umbrella (and getting wet as a result?!) is the way you get named a “real man.” However, numerous in the forum believe it’s silly.
