Love’s Breaking Point: Did This Wife’s Extreme Prank Go Too Far?

PRANK

Parenting can be a tough journey, and it’s even more challenging when parents disagree on how to handle things. Add a child’s prank into the mix, and what was once a peaceful family life can quickly turn stormy.

A woman we’ll call “Ashley” has two children. Her daughter “Mia” is 14, and her son, “Dax” is 12. She says that the two often don’t get along and that the source of many of their arguments stems from the pranks her son likes to pull on his sister.

Pranks Abound

Most of the time, Ashley says Dax’s pranks are harmless and usually fueled by something he sees on TikTok or YouTube and is more to annoy Mia than anything else. Recently, however, Ashley feels Dax went too far.

Dax got the idea of putting plastic wrap over the toilet right before Mia used the bathroom. Naturally, when she did, it made an awful mess. It also embarrassed Mia.

Natural Consequence

One user thinks Ashley has a husband issue. “Your husband is a jerk, and you can see why Dax thinks it’s OK to pull this prank on his sister. What is your husband on about “You put him in danger by exposing him to germs”?

Left for Him

Another person thinks the Dad favors the son and leaves the daughter hanging. “Clearly, the husband favors the son; we can’t be sure whether it’s misogyny or not. Whatever the reason, he makes excuses for his son and doesn’t support his daughter.”

Clear Favoritism

Someone thinks Dax needs a lot less time online. “I see a 12-year-old that needs to spend less time online. I’d pull his YouTube and TikTok privileges.

Less Time

Somebody else hopes Ashley will have a serious talk with her husband. “Have a serious conversation with your husband, though, because he is way out of line.
