The Best 3 Ingredient Shish Kabob Marinade
Grilling season is here which means we are using our BBQ almost every day. To keep things exciting we are always trying to come up with different foods and recipes to throw on the grill. Recently our family has been on a shish kabob kick as they cook quickly on the grill and the kids can create their own kabobs with the veggies and meats that they like.
Last week we were running really late with dinner and decided to throw some ingredients together to make a quick marinade for the chicken and steak shish kabobs and let me just say, it was easily my favorite marinade we have ever used.
Our shish kabobs were created using steak, chicken, red and yellow peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms. For the marinade we used melted butter, dill weed and garlic salt. Yep, just 3 ingredients and it was incredible.
We soaked the mushrooms in the marinade for 30 minutes before we assembled the shish kabobs then brushed the rest of the marinade over the meat and veggies before putting them on the grill.
Once cooked they were ready to eat. The meat was tender and the marinade really brought the flavors out for everything. This has now become our go-to marinade.
