31 Days of Halloween: Candy Corn Bark
This has GOT to be the best Halloween Dessert I have ever tasted! It is seriously like Halloween CRACK it is that good! It’s also fun to make with the kids—my toddler loved dipping the pretzels in the white chocolate. He was making such a little mess that I kindly asked him to wait to have any more chocolate, but as soon as I would turn my back, I would catch his little fingers in the chocolate again!
This is very easy to make and freezes well, so feel free to make it ahead of time for your Halloween Party. I have already made my batch this year so I am good to go for Halloween!
Ingredients:
- One package Halloween Oreos
- 1 1/2 cups broken small pretzels
- 1/2 cup unsalted cashews
- 24 ounces white chocolate chips (1 1/2 of the large white chocolate chip bags)
- 2 cups candy corn
- orange sprinkles
Directions:
Step 1. Place cookies in a plastic bag and crush them until they are in small crumbs. (I use a meat tenderizer to crush them). Cover a small baking sheet with wax paper and place cookie crumbs, pretzels and cashews on top of paper.
Step 2. Melt chocolate either in a double boiler or in the microwave. (If you do it in the microwave, be sure to check chocolate after every minute and stir to prevent the chocolate from burning). Once melted, pour over the cookie mixture.
Step 3. Place orange sprinkles and candy corn on top of melted chocolate.
Step 4. Take another sheet of wax paper and place over the entire mixture. Press firmly down on top of mixture to smash everything together.
Step 5. Remove wax paper and cool in the fridge for one hour. Once cool, use your hands to break chocolate into small bits. Store in an air tight container or freeze until you are ready to serve.
