Feeding A Group: Grilled Cheese Bar
If you are going to be hosting a party or a group of people, whether it is children adults or a mix, a great idea for food is a Grilled Cheese Bar!
For my son’s Third birthday, we had a good sized group of people over, so to cut down on cost and prep, we put together a fun buffet of fixin’s for some amazing grilled cheese potential!
We had three kinds of bread, different spreads, meats, veggies, and of course, Cheese!
The cheese is of course the highlight of the Grilled Cheese Bar, so we placed it nicely on some white butcher paper and wrote the names of each cheese under each row!
At the end of the buffet, we had a panini press and a George Foreman Grill for guests to toast up their sammies on their own!
This was a HUGE hit. Kids could eat the perfect white bread with American Cheese sandwich, but the adults got more adventurous and tried tons of different combinations. Here were our suggestions:
The Caprese: Tomato, Mozzarella, Fresh Basil with drizzle of olive oil & balsamic vinegar
The Taco: Taco Flavored Chicken, Cheddar Cheese, Tomato with a sour cream spread
The Pizza: Mozzarella and Pepperoni with a marinara spread
The Philly: Provolone Cheese, Roast Beef and Caramelized Onions with optional Ketchup spread
The BLT: Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and American Cheese. Delicious with ranch spread!
