Graco Snugride Click Connect 40: The ONLY Newborn-Two Year Infant Car Seat
It seems as though car seat laws are forever changing and hard to keep up with! Did you know that the American Academy of Pediatrics now suggests that all children should stay rear facing until the age of 2? Seems impossible, seeing as my son was scrunched up and uncomfortable by 9 months in his car seat! But it does not come unwarranted. Children under the age of 2 who are rear facing in car seats are 75% less likely to die or be injured in car accidents. Rear facing is just safer.
Thanks to Graco, you can comfortably seat your child rear facing all the way up to two years old OR 40 pounds!
The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 is the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.

I was invited to a wonderful Graco event recently and the focus was on the new Snugride Click Connect 40. We were given an overview and demonstration of this amazing new car seat, and I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed!

The first thing for me that set it apart from any other infant car seat was that it WILL fit your child through two years of age. With 8 different recline positions, your child is bound to fit rear facing longer.
When you start to need a little more space, you simply press a button on either side and slide to your desired position. Rather than extending out, the seat slides into a more upright seated position so as to not take up too much space in your backseat. Once fully opened up for the longest height, it does take up a little bit of backseat space, but both my husband and I could fit comfortably in our front seats with the car seat fully opened up. When your child’s feet start to touch your seat, fear not! Those dirty little shoes will steer clear of the fabric on your seats, thanks to the extendable footrest! Your seats will be protected no matter how long your child gets!
Guess what else! The harness does NOT need to be re-threaded for height adjustment! There is a simple button on the back of the seat to slide into the best position for your child. Love that!
Here is a great video demonstrating the seat in action! My words just don’t do any justice to the ease of reclining!
The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 has been rigorously crash tested, including side-impact tested to meet or exceed U.S. safety standards. So your child is safe and secure.
My only concern is that the New Click Connect line will not fit previous Snugride bases or stroller adapters. We own a Bugaboo with a Snugride attachment, and it doesn’t seem to snap onto the attachment like the original Snugride did. I am hoping Bugaboo comes out with a new attachment so we can still use our stroller.
The Snugride Click Connect 40 comes in two Patterns, Mena-A gorgeous pink and gray swirl or Moonstruck-A Neutral green and gray swirl. Graco also has a Click Connect Stroller, available in the same two patterns to make buying your travel system a breeze!
This car seat is the only one of it’s kind on the market right now. If you are in search of the car seat that will last your child through the rear facing years, then you must take a look at the Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40!

The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.
