Hotel Griffon: San Francisco Boutique Hotel
Living near San Francisco I find myself often planning weekend getaways there.
Just recently I had the chance to stay at the Hotel Griffon, which is a boutique hotel that sits right along San Francisco’s Embarcadero waterfront. The Embarcadero is a premier destination for boutique shopping, outstanding restaurants and popular local events.
For a closer look at the room, check out our video below:
Finding Hotel Griffon was easy, which isn’t always the case when visiting San Francisco.
When you walk in, the hotel welcomes you with a sophisticated vibe, that is both warm and inviting.
There is even a restaurant and bar, Perry’s, that connects to the hotel’s lobby.
While the restaurant closes after dinner, the bar stays open late so you can enjoy a drink or two before calling it a night.
We stayed in a King Suite with a Bay View— room 506. The room was impressive to say the least. From the moment you open the door, you are welcomed with natural lighting, an open layout, modern decor, and a sense of relaxation.
The living area features gorgeous hardwood floors, plenty of furniture to sit and unwind, a flat screen TV, mini fridge and a wet bar.
As we made our way up into the bedroom, we couldn’t help but be blown away by the view from our windows.
Right outside your windows are views of the San Francisco Bay, as well as the Bay Bridge. While the Bay Bridge is gorgeous to see during the day, it really comes to life once the sun goes down and the bay lights turn on.
Staying inside while visiting San Francisco is something that rarely happens, but I couldn’t help just staying in, with a glass of wine poured, and watching the bay lights from my king bed.
Speaking of the King Bed… This bed had to have been one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. Mix that with the black out curtains and I found myself sleeping in until 10am one morning. Yes, you read that right… 10am. Something that hasn’t happened since before I had children.
It’s rare for me to find a hotel room that gives off a vibe of true relaxation. A place where I don’t just lay my head at night. A place that I want to spend my time in, and I found that at the Hotel Griffon.
Hotel Griffon is everything you would expect from a boutique hotel. Great location, friendly staff, complimentary tea, coffee and fruit in the morning, and beautiful modern designed rooms.
Hotel Griffon is a hotel I would absolutely recommend if you are visiting San Francisco. It has easily become one of my favorite hotels in the area.
