Just Dance Kids 2014: Healthy Fun Activity For Families
“Can we play the dancing game?”
That question has become quite popular in my house since my kids got the Just Dance Kids 2014 game for their Xbox 360.
I am pretty strict when it comes to the video games my kids play. My youngest is only 3 years old so he doesn’t quite get most video games, but my 7 year old does and would play them all day if we let him. I believe that children should spend less time on the couch and more time running around and burning the energy they are blessed to have. So when I heard about Just Dance Kids 2014, I realized that this could be the perfect game for our family – my son gets to play a game while still being active and burning all that energy.
Before the game arrived we headed to the Just Dance Kids Facebook page to see what the game was all about. Just Dance Kids had the #2 best-selling dance title and the best-selling kids dance game of 2012. Now it is back and we were excited more than ever. Once the game arrived we immediately popped it into our Xbox 360 and checked out all the settings and songs the kids (and I) could dance to.
The music selection is incredible! There are 30+ all-new dances that are led by real kids!
Songs range from toddler songs all the way up:
Highest-rated TV shows: Yo Gabba Gabba, and The Wiggles
Today’s hottest hits: One Thing by One Direction, Hit The Lights by Selena Gomez, and Give Your Heart A Break by Demi Lovato.
Songs adults will love: The Hustle, Shout, Walking on Sunshine
What I love about the Just Dance Kids 2014 game is that kids and adults of all ages can enjoy it. Even my toddler loves to play. Check out my kids dancing to a Yo Gabba Gabba song:
There are a several different modes your child can choose from: they can solo dance, dance with a partner or have a dance battle. There’s even a Parents Corner, which puts the children’s parents in control. It includes a non-stop shuffle, custom playlists (where mom can select all her kids’ favorite songs) and a fitness tracker where parents can see how many calories their child is burning while dancing.
Most families enjoy dinner together but with my husband’s crazy work schedule, he isn’t home in time to eat with us. So Just Dance Kids has become our family time once he is home on the weekdays and I can honestly say we have never had this much fun as a family. Plus, we are burning calories and staying healthy in the process. I wish the game would calculate calories burned from laughing because there is definitely a lot of laughing going on during the game.
Just Dance Kids 2014 is now available on the Wii™, Wii U™, and Kinect for Xbox360! Featuring over 30 fun and crazy dance routines to kids favorite songs, including hits from today’s most popular artists, TV shows and movies. Just Dance Kids 2014 gets kids of all ages up and dancing with colorful graphics, super-fun dance moves, and kid-friendly gameplay!
