Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel Family Suite
If you’re ever lucky enough to take your family to visit South Lake Tahoe to take in some of the most beautiful sights you’ll ever see, make sure to book your stay at the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel.
Located right on the California and Nevada state line, the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel is nestled right in the heart of Heavenly Village. There is food, shopping, and activities galore within two blocks, and the lake is a short walk away as well!
We love the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel because every single room is a two-room suite (or bigger!), there is an amazing full hot breakfast buffet every morning, and it’s location just can’t be beat.
During this visit, we stayed in the beautiful family suite. This was the perfect accommodation for our family of 5, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchenette. It can sleep eight comfortably though, so two families would fit for a joint vacation too!
As you walk into the suite, you are greeted by the spacious dining room. There’s seating for 8, and we loved bringing our breakfast back to the room to eat with the kids each morning.
The kitchenette lies between the dining room and the living room. There’s a refrigerator, microwave, sink, and Keurig coffee maker, along with storage galore in there. We were able to store our snacks and drinks and make coffee and pop popcorn for movies without leaving our room!
The living room is the hub of the suite. The couch folds out into a bed, but we didn’t use it this trip. We DID fill up the room with Hot Wheels cars, and the boys made themselves right at home!
The kids all screamed in delight when they saw the double-sized bunk beds in the kid’s room! There was also a TV, dresser, and closet in the room and a door that opened up to a small balcony.
The “Mom & Dad room” boasts a king-sized bed, a sitting chair, and a closet & dresser. The highlight of the room is the TWO balconies that let in the lovely music being played on the streets below.
In the master bathroom, there’s a standing shower as well as a deep soaking tub. That tub got some good use during our stay, both from the kids and from momma! The kids’ bathroom has a standing shower.

My kids loved the selection of hot and cold foods and really filled up on the fresh fruit. I loved that we didn’t have to think about going to get breakfast since it was right there in the hotel!
Another big plus for the kids was the big indoor pool/jacuzzi!
This is fun in the summer, but a GREAT added plus during the snowy winter months!
If the pool isn’t your thing, ask the concierge for a beach pass to visit the Round Hill Pines Beach Resort. This beach has gorgeous sweeping views of the lake and surrounding mountains! There’s a bar cabana, restaurant, and several different boat/kayak/board rentals available right on the beach! We spent a whole morning at the beach with the kids, and they had a blast.
Back at the hotel, the kids will love the fish and turtles in the atrium pond-it was our kids’ favorite stop each time we walked past, and by the end of our stay, they had even named the turtles.
