Towel Twist-DIY Gift Idea!!!

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and the weekend brings us Mother’s Day! Looking for a simple, customizable gift for your child’s teacher or a mother in your life? Try the Towel Twist! I’ve seen Spa Kits and Bath Kits at the store, but they always have things my mother would never use. So I decided to make my own, especially with the things she loves.

Here are my supplies:

  • Towel
  • Body Soap
  • Lotion
  • Candle
  • Bath sponge
  • Ribbon

I purchased my mother’s favorite bath soap and her favorite lotion. Then I found a sponge, towel, ribbon and candle with coordinating colors. Does the person you’re buying for like body spray, bath salts or back scratchers? Add those in your Towel Twist!

Next I laid the towel completely open and folded it, lengthwise, by thirds.

Then I put the soap and lotion in the towel on the edge and rolled from that end. I stuck the candle in another fold on the top. Finally, I used ribbon to tie the towel together, adding the bath sponge to the ribbon. There you have it! A completely customizable bath set for a teacher, mother, grandmother or anyone! You could even customize this for kids with a beach towel and toys!
