ByKendra Stamy Updated onJanuary 30, 2023 Home and Garden
A baker's dozen. Last minute food gifts to give for the holidays!

Who doesn’t love giving (and receiving!) food gifts? They are fun, practical, and really just a simple way to tell someone you thought of them.  I’ve looked around the web and found some great ideas.

Here are 13 different last minute food gifts that you can make for friends and neighbors. Food gifts are truly my favorite kind of gifts to both give and receive.

The only thing I ask, is that if you want to pin this post for later, please pin the top photo collage only. If you want to pin a particular idea, please click through to the actual post first. 🙂

A Baker’s Dozen of Last Minute Food Gifts:

Stovetop simmer spices to give as Christmas gifts.

Stovetop Simmer Spices from Shaken Together Life. This may not be something you eat, but it will make the house smell so amazing and you don’t have to worry about special diets or allergies. You will also find printable gift tags to include with your simmer spices.

Basic cookie mix in a jar to give as gifts.

Cookie Mix in a Jar from Living Well, Spending Less. Your typical cookie mix in a jar. Pleasing to the eye, simple to put together and great tasting cookies.
Recipe for reindeer hot chocolate mix. Cute christmas gift idea!

Reindeer Hot Chocolate from Thrifty Jinxy. These adorable little guys are sure to be a hit with the younger crowd, but older folk will love them too. Printable gift tags included.
Nutty homemade granola to give as last minute food gifts for Christmas.

Homemade Granola in a Jar from Lavende and Lemonade.  A great treat that is not only delicious but also perfect for the health nut. Oh, and the mix contains nuts too! 🙂
Chocolate spoons are easy to make and are great last minute food gifts

Chocolate Spoons from Blue Bear Wood. Okay, so I’m going to be completely honest here and say that if you gave me these, you would be my new best friend! Super easy to make and well, it’s chocolate, need I say more?

Gingerbread cookie mix in a mason jar.

Gingerbread Cookie Mix in a Jar from Home in the Finger Lakes. There’s really nothing better than gingerbread cookies, and these make a neat jar gift as well. Printable included.

Jelly jar snowman gift

Jam Jar Snowman from Crafts a la Mode. If you canned jams and jellies this summer, you will love this idea!

Hugs and kisses holiday treat jar.

Hugs and Kisses Wishes from Uncommon Designs.  You can print out the labels and put candy hugs and kisses in a jar and use these labels for a fun holiday treat.

Build a Snowman Kit from The Country Chic Cottage. How fun is this little Sunday kit? It’s super cute and sure to be a huge hit!

Cranberry white chocolate chip cookies in a jar.

Rice crispy snowmen treats as food treats for Christmas

Rice Crispy Snowmen from Who Needs A Cape. These are adorable and I know quite a few kids who would be thrilled by these little dudes!

And one last food gift idea: Bourbon Balls!

Do you give food gifts during the holidays? If so, what is your favorite thing to give?
