Maple Glazed Salmon with Creamy Ginger Sauce
Sponsored posts are what keeps the lights on around here. 🙂 I love finding creative ways to share and showcase my favorite brands. But for every brand that accepts my pitch, there are dozens that pass me by.
Sometimes I get so excited about my ideas that I carry them out anyway, rejected pitch not-withstanding.
My Maple Glazed Salmon with Creamy Ginger Sauce is one such example. The more I considered the recipe concept that was in my head, the more my determination grew to create it. After all, one can only imagine drool-worthy recipes for so long. It was time to get this one on the plate!
It took a few tries. The first time we ate it, the sauce was nasty sweet. The second time the sugar level was good, but the flavor was bland. The last time I fixed it… there were no leftovers!
Maple Glazed Salmon with Creamy Ginger Sauce:
I start out by pouring the glaze over my fresh or frozen salmon and allowing it to marinate for a couple of hours.
Then I bake to a flaky golden and drizzle a creamy, slightly tangy, ginger sauce over the top. It’s so yummy and the ginger gives it an unexpected flavor!

- salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 5 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp white cooking wine
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp granulated garlic
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp paprika
- ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- Begin with your salmon. Melt the butter and stir in maple syrup, simmer for 1 minute, stirring continuously.
- Place salmon in glass dish and salt as desired.
- Pour maple glaze over salmon and let it marinate. Marinate thawed salmon in fridge for one hour. Marinate frozen salmon on counter for an hour (or until mostly thawed).
- Bake at 350 for 20 minutes
- Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
- Stir in sour cream, cooking wine, and sugar. Continue heating until warm.
- Sprinkle in the spices and whisk well.
- Lastly, stir in the cheese and remove from heat.
- Spoon cream sauce over the salmon as it comes out of the oven.
