Tough Love Goes Too Far: Uncle Told His 10-Year-Old Nephew Everyone "Literally Despised Him"

Family is everything. Still, sometimes, they can become annoying, excruciating pains. The worst part is that while you can call a stranger out on a bad attitude as rudely and unreservedly as you’d like, you can’t do the same with family because they are, well, family.

In this story, a man was tired of holding back. His 10-year-old nephew drove him out of his mind, and he told him the bitter truth. Now, there’s bad blood, and he wonders if he took it too far.

Everybody Hates Darius 

For the sake of the story, we’ll call this man Ross. Ross gets along fine with his sister, Diana, but he wouldn’t pretend he likes Darius. He says, “He’s an entitled brat who has gotten away with bad things far too many times.”

By lunchtime, he was frustrated. He made him mac and cheese, but Darius demanded to be taken to Wendy’s. Ross endured all this but lost his cool when Darius dumped the food bowl on the floor.

Spilling the Beans

Darius started crying and locked himself in the bathroom. Later, he came out, sat, and watched TV till his mom came for him. Ross told her what happened, and his sister did not share his sentiment. They got into a massive argument, and she called him cruel.
